I installed my OPPO decal today and washed my car in celebration. Even got out my pressure washer and cleaned under the car. Woot!

So I searched deep in the far out corners of the web and found all these pictures for your enjoyment. Celebrate OPPOness!

The stratos was my favorite car to hoon in V-Rally 2 way back in the day. Nostalgia level 9000!

I started following rally in the early 70s. I had my 79' Fiesta S set up very rally like for surf trips. Taken when I had the Carello fogs removed, busted one of those on a rock.. This was near Trestles if I recall on a solo trip I made to SoCal and Baja in 1980. Car had a flex map light, clipboard mt for maps, full instruments, Kamei frt spoiler, Waltham 8 day clock from Grumman fighter, 100w per channel stereo with equalizer, larger Vredestein tires, Sachs clutch, skid plate, Repco frt brakes, cam and 4mm larger Weber 2 bbl. Under 9 sec to sixty and faster than many 3 series and new RX7 back then even with the racks on. My first sleeper car. BAT took a lot of my money back then. They had lots of hot European parts back then.

That as a beautiful car. I wish I was around at that time to have anything similar. I really wish I was around/old enough to remember the golden days of rally and not just live it through video games as a youngster in the early 2K’s

No matter the age many car guys get hooked on rally and games. I used to play Colin McRae Rally for hours and hours. Even bought the UK version for PC. Had Sega Rally and others before that. I think I had 7 versions of Need For Speed. I still play Porsche Unleashed sometimes, I’m so old school. My newest racing games right now are Race 07 Offline and Rallisport Challenge. Looking at the Forza beta download for my new quad core, 8gb ram, 2gb vram, 2tb desktop system. Need to bump up to 32gb ram. The Radeon graphics aren’t the top level board only an R7 240 so I think it will still play in a little lower resolution.
